Patient Experience

At Barry Smith Dental we make it our goal to ensure our patients feel as comfortable as possible during any treatment or visit to our dental practice - whether it is your first time visiting our practice, or you're a regular patient.

All our friendly and professional staff will gladly answer any queries you may have on our practices or services. This way we know that you will be walking away feeling positive and well informed about your dental treatment and procedures.

We offer a range of services to all our patients. Setting us apart from other dentists, our practice relies on three core components, which include children’s dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and a complete dental experience.

Feel free to ask our dental team any questions you may have about your treatment. If you're anxious about the procedure, your dentist can discuss with you sedation options such as Penthrox, nitrous oxide (happy gas) and general anaesthesia.

Your dentist’s role is to help you improve and maintain the highest level of oral health, so discuss with your dental practitioner any concerns you may have with your oral health.

They can help to provide the appropriate solution to tackle any problem you have head on and help pave the way for a future that sees nothing but healthier teeth and gums.

First Visit Experience

Our practice will always greet you with a warm welcoming, whether you’re a new or old patient. With our professional and friendly staff, we will guide you through your first encounter with ease.

Your comfort is one of our utmost concerns, so we endeavour to help you understand our dental procedures, inform you of your treatment and get you comfortable with our team of dentists.

In your first visit to our dental practice, you can expect a member of our team to welcome you in with a warm greeting and then request for you to fill out a new patient form.

If you have any queries or concerns, our staff is more than happy to help address any questions or confusion you may have.

You will then be guided into one of our comfortable surgeries and introduced to your dentist, who will perform a comprehensive dental assessment to get an idea of the state of your teeth.

This initial dental appointment may include a full examination, diagnostic x-rays, fluoride treatment and a professional clean and polish.

Following your examination, your dentist will take you through an overall assessment of your teeth and gums, highlighting any potential issues and recommend the required treatments to combat the problem.

Our dentists will provide the best information about getting treatment so that you can make an informed decision.
